Description

Myofascia is a flexible network of tissue that surrounds, cushions and supports muscles, bones and organs. It also acts as a "riverbed" containing the flow of interstitial fluid, and is a critical influence on the immune and hormonal systems, thus it is an underlying determinant of movement quality, mood, alertness and general well-being. Before birth and during early childhood, movement patterns and structural imbalances may develop.

Learn how to read structural imbalances and variations in the body and address fascial imbalances through this comprehensive guide to understanding and working effectively with the myofascial system.

In this course, you will:

  • recognize how movement patterns and structural imbalances can develop before birth and early childhood.
  • learn how these imbalances affect people.
  • identify the structure and function of fascial bands and straps in the chest, head, abdomen and groin.
  • learn how structural imbalances and variations in the fascia manifest.

The fully illustrated course text demonstrates how myofascia works, its supportive role within the body's anatomy, and how gentle manipulation of the myofascial tissue is central to lasting therapeutic intervention that can be integrated into any bodywork practice.

I took a long time carefully reading & taking notes with this course!! I have to say this was "THE BEST" course I've taken to this point in my career as a LMT & PTA!! Thoroughly enjoyed the content & have already implemented techniques in both fields of practice. Thank you for a great course!!:)

Sheryl Woodmansee, LMT

This course was more than I expected! It delved into the fascia and refreshed my understanding of muscle anatomy. I was very excited that it was written by two Rolfers! This course also fit perfectly with my teaching of Yin Yoga. All in all, it was a great course for me. Thank you.

I am extremely impressed and pleased with your quality of courses, materials, & staff. I have used your courses for all of my home study units through my 15 years as a massage therapist in the state of Florida. I cannot say enough about your courses and staff, but I will say- to have such quality and service puts you above your competitors.

Laura Kruse, LMT, NCTMB

This course, Fascia: The Endless Web, was the BEST course I've ever taken in my 15 years of massage therapy continuing education. The course book is fascinating and its information is accessible because of its many photos and diagrams. Reading with the test in hand is a great way to find important nuggets of information. I think this text is a must-read! Thank you for continuing to provide resources that are timely and relevant to MTs everywhere!

Cynthia Frey, LMT, NCTMB

I loved this course! It put language to what I've been sensing in my practice for years, which in turn makes it easier to explain to clients what is going on. I had not studied fascial anatomy previously and found the material exciting and fascinating. I took longer than I needed to with the course because I was able to tie so much of what I was reading to practical applications with several of my clients
