Course Reviews

J. Bauer, LMT, NCTMB, ABMP

I really enjoyed this educational experience! It EXCEEDED my expectations! I had previously heard of "Hot Stone Massage" from various people... with mixed opinions of it. Coming from a more clinical background, I appreciated the "scientific"/geological information as a way to gain a better understanding of the stones and their application. Before I even finished reading the information for the first time, I was able to share some of the scientific information with my clients.

I am thrilled with the potential that this modality has for my private practice. I am realizing that stones are a very powerful tool and can be used in so many settings such as post surgery, sports, pain management, meridian work and relaxation. I am totally hooked and can hardly wait to receive the stones I have ordered. This is extremely powerful and I am grateful to have come to this realization.

I really loved this course. There was a lot of information that I did not know about stone massage, and I loved the emphasis on integrating Eastern modalities into the massage. Also, I had never heard of using cool and cold stones, so this was also great to learn. Great course!

WOW!!!!! This course has been the best class I have EVER taken. I am already certified in Hawaiian Lomi' ili' ili hot stone massage.... but this went WAAAAY beyond what I learned in this class, and also changed how I will heat my stones from now on. Plus, I thought I had all the stones I needed, but now it's clear to me that I will need a LOT more... and Carolanne's teaching in exactly what kinds of stones I need to look for is SO helpful! I really, REALLY appreciated her history and geology lessons. And I am so very much looking forward to combining this hot stone protocol with my polarity therapy, and the Spirit Massage course I just completed, as well as the Women and Massage. I think they all integrate together VERY well, and will allow me to create my own special niche in the town where I live. I am not aware of any other therapists offering these types of massage here, so I am very excited to be able to offer this to my community. Thanks so much!

I really appreciate the deep tissue applications of stone massage through this course. I wasn't interested in just a spa-like, relaxation-based class. I was really impressed with this course and would suggest it to others. My clients will be very pleased with this new modality and will like that I can integrate these new techniques with my current deep tissue, therapeutic work.
