As of January 1, 2013, the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) credentials have changed. National Certification has now been retired and replaced with the new credential called Board Certification.
To meet the educational requirements to become Board Certified, you must obtain 750 hours of total education. If you are currently Nationally Certified and you already have 750 hours, no additional hours are required at this time. If you do not have the minimum 750 hours of education, you will need to obtain the extra hours necessary to reach the 750 hours, all of which you can obtain through ANY of our home study CE courses!
To help you fulfill this educational requirement, we're offering huge savings on over 100 courses.
It is our current understanding that for Board Certification renewal the NCBTMB requires massage therapists to complete 24 CE hours every 2 years. Of the 24 CE hours, 3 CE hours must be in research and 3 CE hours must be in ethics. Only 4 CE hours can be in self-care.
If you need additional training to satisfy the 750 hours for Board Certification, you can obtain these remaining hours through ANY of our home study CE courses. We have created special savings to help you obtain these training requirements. With over 100 courses to choose from, the more CE credits you need, the more you will save. Plus each time you select to test online, you receive an extra 5% off.
Once you have become Board Certified, you will need 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
