Some of the techniques are difficult for a smaller massage therapist to execute on a larger body. In addition, most clients are not as limber as the model. Dr. Mally knows his anatomy and delivered the content clearly and thoroughly. He appropriately went over contraindications as well as proper body mechanics, use of the forearms for each technique and direction for each stroke. This course reinforced my familiarity of the human body as well as deep tissue massage techniques to use regarding more specific client ROM, joint and muscle tension issues. It was easier to grasp and apply many of the techniques after having a year of experience as a massage therapist.
